Orthopaedic Surgery
Dr. Michael A. Wasylik practiced orthopaedic surgery in Tampa, Florida, for decades, treating conditions affecting the hip, knee, shoulder, and other parts of the musculoskeletal system. His private practice is now closed.
Leadership in the Medical Community
He received the Hillsborough County Medical Association's Outstanding Physician of the Year award in 2002 and served as its president. His past hospital appointments included St. Joseph's Hospital and Memorial Hospital. He served as Chief of the Medical Staff at St. Joseph's Hospital in 2004–2005 and 2015–2016.
He served as president of the Florida Orthopaedic Society in 2014–2015 and as chair of the State Consumer Health Information and Policy Advisory Council at Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration in 2015.

Education and Training
Dr. Wasylik earned his bachelor's and medical degrees at Ohio State University. He completed a surgical internship in Milwaukee and orthopaedic residency training at Case Western Reserve–affiliated hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant Commander at the Orlando Naval Regional Hospital.
Continuing Community Service
Following the closure of his private practice, Dr. Wasylik continues to contribute to charitable healthcare in the community.
