Using modern computer-assisted placement technology, Dr. Wasylik replaces knee and hip joints with the best available modern hardware, including products from Zimmer and ORTHOsoft. Dr. Wasylik uses technology such as gender-specific high-flex knee implants to replace knee joints.
Dr. Wasylik repaces torn ACL ligaments using either autograph or allograph hamstring tendons. Because Dr. Wasylik uses arthroscopic techniques, patients experience smaller incisions, less pain, and quicker recovery than is possible with open surgical techniques.
Not all conditions require surgery. Dr. Wasylik often recommends non-surgical treatment where surgery is not necessary. Where appropriate, Dr. Wasylik may recommend physical therapy, medications, or other approaches that may provide an alternative to surgery.
